Open Position: MSc thesis on novel porous bioceramics for bone regeneration

The project aims to develop novel macroporous bioceramics for bone regenerative applications. These newly developed ceramics can be customized in terms of maroporosity to achieve not only similar chemical composition to that of natural bone, but also similar porosities in order to enhance bone formation. This project involves the development of materials with tailored macro-micro and nanostructure, their physicochemical characterization and their biological interaction in vitro. The project will be performed at Uppsala University in collaboration with KTH (Stockholm).

We are looking for students with a background in material science, biomedical engineering or biotechnology. The project will start in September 2018. Please, do not hesitate to contact us in case you are interested.
