VINNOVA funds new competence centre in Additive Manufacturing for the Life Sciences, led by Prof. Cecilia Persson

A new competence centre in Additive Manufacturing for the Life Sciences,
AddLife, led by Prof. Cecilia Persson, was recently awarded funding by
VINNOVA. The competence centre will start in 2020 and aims to become a
global player in the education, research and development of additively
manufactured materials and components for life science applications. 24
partners from academia, industry and the public sector, including a
hospital as well as a municipality and the Swedish Medical Products
Agency, will come together to focus on the following themes within
Additive Manufacturing: Equipment and process development, Surgical
planning, Bioprocess materials, Implants, Bioprinting, Drug delivery,
Regulatory aspects and Business Models.
